The PDS officials and technicians quickly moved to the substation to find out what caused the huge blast and after a thorough search, the PDS technicians said a cat caused the blast.

A suspected armed robber has been killed in a gun battle with a police patrol team on the Obuasi-Dunkwa-on-Offin road on Thursday. Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Kwasi Mensah-Duku said the officers from the Obuasi Divisional Police Command had responded to a distress call to foil an armed robbery operation at Kubi community on the main highway when they were attacked by the armed robbers after pulling over at the scene.

A suspected armed robber, Rahuff Mohammed, who fled with gunshot wounds after a gun battle with police in Oforikrom in Kumasi, has been arrested.
